Main study phase (Semesters 4–7):
- In‑depth study of business content.
- Three individual specialisations to tailor your profile.
- Practical semester in the 6th semester.
- Practice‑oriented scientific Bachelor’s thesis in the 7th semester.
What will particularly move you forward here?
- Strongly practice‑oriented: Project work with well‑known companies, real and current business cases – solved with fresh perspectives from Generation Z and lecturers who come directly from professional practice.
- Internationally networked: Whether an exchange semester, international business projects or English‑language modules – you can make your study path as international as you wish.
- Personal support: Small groups in the specialisations, direct exchange and a family‑like campus atmosphere.
- Diverse specialisations: From marketing and controlling to Digital Business and business psychology – you design your own individual profile, which will even appear on your degree certificate.
About the programme
Specialisations and study profiles
A degree program tailored to you – After the foundational phase, you’ll move on to our specializations and profiles:
How does the specialisation choice work?
HNU offers you up to 20 different study specialisations – from marketing and consulting to financial statements, taxation, or International Management and Leadership. Starting in the main study phase, you choose three specialisations, each lasting one semester. This allows you to focus in depth on areas that match your interests and career goals.
What is a study profile?
The three specialisations you choose can be combined into up to 10 different study profiles. A study profile shows future employers at a glance which topic area you know particularly well. Examples of our profiles include Marketing & Sales, Accounting and Taxation, and International Management. This gives your degree a clearly recognisable focus – already at Bachelor level.
Why is this useful?
You can set your own priorities early on and specialise in the fields where you want to work later. The profiles also help you position yourself more strongly in the application process – for example in areas such as controlling, marketing, international business or logistics.
Special features
Would you like to prepare optimally during your studies for an international career?
At HNU, you can choose not only English but also a range of other languages (Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, French, Italian) as electives.
You also have the option to study three semesters at Hochschule Neu‑Ulm and three semesters at a foreign partner university and earn a double degree.
