"My job is to chair the jury meeting, i.e. also to moderate the discussion and ensure that we reach a result that is supported by all jury members. In addition, I get to give the laudation for the main prize and present the main prize at the award ceremony," reports Prof. Dr. Wilke Hammerschmidt, who works at Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) as Professor of PR and Marketing Communication, Head of the Competence Centre Corporate Communications, Scientific Director of the Technology Transfer Centre for Big Data-based Marketing and Head of the Master's programme International Corporate Communication and Media Management, among other things.
Award of the UMP: Every two years in three categories
The Ulm Marketing Prize (UMP) is the most important marketing prize in the region. It will be awarded by the Ulm/Neu-Ulm Marketing Club 2021 for the eighth time. "Previous winners include Wieland, Uzin Utz, Magirus or Beurer - but local giants such as SWU or smaller companies and organisations have also been able to enjoy awards," says jury president Hammerschmidt. The UMP is awarded every two years in three categories: Ulm Marketing Prize (main prize), Special Award (for a campaign or similar) and the Ulm Marketing Personality (no application is possible for this). Companies, institutions, associations and clubs from the Ulm/Neu-Ulm region, the districts of Alb-Donau and Neu-Ulm, Biberach and Günzburg can apply until 10 September 2021.
