The Bachelor's programme "Systems Engineering" is part of the "Digital and Regional" study model of the universities of Augsburg, Kempten and Neu-Ulm. During their studies, students deal with comprehensive technical tasks and problems in the subject area of networked technical systems (mechatronics, computer science, digitalisation and Industry 4.0). The degree programme provides students with the necessary competences to be able to independently control subject-specific processes in a complex and frequently changing, international working world. Regional, technically producing companies are given the opportunity to secure and qualify skilled workers locally through the degree programme.
In the Zoom webinar, Prof. Dr. Thomas Kirchmeier (Augsburg University of Applied Sciences) and Prof. Dr. Dirk Jacob (Kempten University of Applied Sciences) present the degree programme. What is special about the programme is that, together with regional partner companies, professionals study part-time on two days a week, either alongside their job or dual - and this is done through so-called blended learning, a combination of face-to-face events and e-learning. The classroom courses take place at the Donau-Ries University Centre (at the Technologie Centrum Westbayern TCW, Emil-Eigner-Straße 1, 86720 Nördlingen) or at the Memmingen University Centre (Am Galgenberg 1, 87700 Memmingen). Depending on the proximity to your home, the attendance days can be attended at one or the other location. Regardless of where the lecturers teach, the students are always connected via live streaming.
The part-time study programme "Systems Engineering (B.Eng.)" starts every year in the winter semester. Applications can be submitted from 2 May to 15 July each year via Augsburg University of Applied Sciences at the following link: www.hs-augsburg.de/Bewerbung/Digital-und-Regional-Systems-Engineering.
