On 6 November 2021, the world championship final of the online game League of Legends took place. The event was celebrated with a public viewing by Team Orange Gaming (TOG), an eSports club from Neu-Ulm. Students from the HNU Game Production & Management programme were on site as cooperation partners of TOG and helped design and organise the event. In addition, an HNU team competed against a team from the University of Ulm.

HNUeSports is a self-organised group of HNU students from the Game Production and Management degree programme who were able to support Team Orange Gaming in organising the public viewing of the final at the Orange Campus in Neu-Ulm. On the one hand, the students organised the breaks between the rounds with their own quiz on the game League of Legends, on the other hand, the team was involved in setting up and dismantling the event and in the catering.

In addition, team HNU Darkin, a League of Legends team founded by HNUeSports, competed against the Ulm Sparrows, the team from the University of Ulm. HNU Darkin was ultimately unable to prevail against the Ulm Sparrows, but the game was nevertheless an entertaining encounter that promoted contact and friendship between the two teams.
