Under the supervision of Prof. Danny Franzreb and Maja Weise, the students worked in several project groups to analyse the existing website and develop innovative proposals for its optimisation. The focus was on improving the user experience, presenting the services more clearly, tailoring the approach to different customer groups, and optimising the site for mobile devices.
Creative approaches to a sustainable online presence
During the final presentations, the students presented their concepts and showcased a range of creative perspectives on the website’s further development. The proposals ranged from new information architectures and modern design systems to recommendations for content and digital customer interactions.
“Each presentation had its own unique angle and gave me valuable new insights. I was really impressed by the students’ creativity and commitment,” says Patricia Phillips. She was particularly impressed by the intensity with which the students had engaged with the topic of personal development. “Focusing on personal growth from a young age is an investment that can have a lifelong impact.”
Prof. Danny Franzreb also sees great added value in collaborating with industry partners: “Real-world projects enable our students to understand design not only as an aesthetic discipline, but as a strategic tool for solving specific challenges. At the same time, the partners benefit from fresh perspectives and innovative ideas.”
The project demonstrates once again how practical teaching works at HNU: students apply their knowledge in real-world business contexts, gain valuable project experience and, at the same time, deliver tangible added value for their industry partners.
