Theses

Students use scientific methods to work on their problems in a practice-oriented manner in the context of a Bachelor's or Master's thesis. You can either concretise this problem yourself or together with the university.

Contract research

Benefit from the scientific expertise and practical experience of our scientists. You can commission individual scientists or competence centres of the HNU to work on a defined and self-contained research project.

Services

Benefit from the scientific expertise and practical experience of our scientists. Our range of services includes, for example, expert opinions, case studies or consulting services.

Research collaborations

Work together and in partnership with the scientists of the HNU on research questions that are of special interest to you and the university. Individual scientists and competence centres are available as competent cooperation partners. Research cooperations can be partly financed by public funding programmes (EU/State/Federal States). We search for suitable funding programmes and provide support in the application process.

Internships

Internships offer you the opportunity to get to know students during your studies.  Students can thereby put their knowledge into practice. Depending on the degree programme, the internship semester takes place between the 4th and 6th semester. You have the opportunity to place your advertisement free of charge in our job and internship exchange (opens in a new window).

Prices for HNU students

Particularly outstanding scientific theses of the HNU students are honoured with various prizes from external cooperation partners. Among the prizes that are awarded to students from different courses of study are the "Hochschulpreis der schwäbischen Wirtschaft", awarded by the IHK Schwaben, the "Neu-Ulmer-Hochschulpreis", awarded by the Förderverein of the HNU and the "Kulturpreis Bayern" of Bayernwerk AG. In addition, prizes are awarded for specific fields of study, such as the Young Talent Promotion Prize for Logistics from Cost€xpert GmbH and the Prize for outstanding university degrees for female engineering students awarded by the Free State of Bavaria. In Postgraduate studies, the Förderverein of the HNU awards the MBA prize.

Project seminars

In project seminars, students work in teams under the supervision of a professor on their specific tasks. These can be, for example, market analyses, advertising campaigns or product tests.
