Arbeiterkind (Worker's Child)
Arbeiterkind encourages pupils from families without university experience to be the first in their family to study. We support them on their way through their studies - from the beginning of their studies to successful graduation and career entry. Pupils and students from academic families are also welcome to get involved or take advantage of the advice offered by Arbeiterkind.
Our members consist mainly of volunteers who are studying themselves or academics who were also the first students from their families.

For students who need support
Are you new at the university and the first in your family to study? Do you have any questions about starting your studies, the organisation of your studies or the financing of your studies? Then you are exactly right at ArbeiterKind.de (opens in a new window)! We are a non-profit organization that supports pupils and students from families without university experience but also all others on their way to university and accompanies them through their studies until graduation and career entry. More than 6,000 volunteers are involved in 75 local groups throughout Germany, including the local ArbeiterKind.de group in Ulm/Neu-Ulm.
For students who want to get involved
Would you like to pass on the experience you gained during your studies to others and make your entry into student life easier? Then you've come to the right place: ArbeiterKind.de lives from the voluntary commitment of our 6,000 mentors, who pass on their study experiences in schools, at trade fairs and in personal conversations, thus giving them courage. Meanwhile there are about 75 local groups nationwide - from Flensburg to Konstanz, from Trier to Frankfurt (Oder).

We meet every 4th Tuesday of the month at 6.30 pm for an open meeting in the Café Choclet in Ulm. We are looking forward to your coming!
