Wilke Hammerschmidt has been Professor of PR and Marketing Communication at Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences since 2015. After his studies, he first worked as an assistant project manager with a focus on event management and communication at the German Music Council. While working, he completed his doctorate at the University of Passau. From 2008 to 2015, he held various positions in corporate communications at Carl Zeiss AG, most recently as head of online communications and online marketing.
Wilke Hammerschmidt is chairman of the jury of the Ulm Marketing Award. In 2020, he co-founded the Technology Transfer Center for Big Data-based Marketing in Günzburg. In 2021, he received the award for outstanding digital teaching from the Neu-Ulm University's booster club for his innovative teaching formats.
