The LEI students, many of whom are already active in the HNU student representation (StuVer), are on the one hand the contact persons for international students (incomings) and assist them with questions about daily and student life. On the other hand, it is part of their task to motivate HNU students to study or do an internship abroad as part of the Erasmus+ program and to offer opportunities to exchange experiences. From the summer semester 2024, the members of "LEI Neu-Ulm" are planning voluntary information and introductory activities such as an intercultural get-together, international film evenings, visits to cultural and sporting events and excursions in the region. There will also be a special campaign for the European Parliament elections.
The "LEI Neu-Ulm" will receive funding from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) for the implementation of these activities from the start of the 2024 summer semester, which will be provided to the International Office and coordinated by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
