Winter School an der HNU: Crypto Currency und Blockchain

12.11.2025, Study:

Participants in the Winter School organised by the Faculty of Economics at Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) enjoyed a week full of innovation and intercultural exchange. The focus was on the dynamic world of cryptocurrencies and the diverse applications of blockchain technology.

Practical expertise

Lecturers Dr Pan-Theo Gross-Ruyken and David Schmiedel from Swiss crypto trading firm PTGR AG shared practical knowledge on the development of cryptocurrencies and useful use cases for blockchain applications. In addition to exciting presentations, intensive group work provided an opportunity to develop concepts for tokenisation outside the traditional crypto universe and marketing strategies for potential use cases.

Focus on intercultural cooperation

The international exchange was particularly enriching: HNU students worked together with international students from Ethiopia, Finland, Georgia, Israel, Portugal and Senegal. A highlight for the guests was the guided tour of Ulm's old town led by Prof. Dr. Elmar Steurer.

Professor Steurer filled the Winter School with so much kindness, enthusiasm, and inspiration—thank you.
