HNU Faculty of Health Management expands international cooperation

17.11.2025, Study:

With the aim of further strengthening international partnerships, the Faculty of Health Management at Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) recently welcomed Prof. Dr. Shiran Bord (PhD, MPH) from Max Stern Yezreel Valley College, Israel. The specialist in public health and health promotion and head of the Department of Internationalisation exchanged ideas with Dean Prof. Dr. Sylvia Schafmeister and the representatives for entrepreneurship and internationalisation, Prof. Dr. Silvia Straub and Prof. Dr. Patrick Da-Cruz, and gave a guest lecture to students.

The talks focused on concrete opportunities for cooperation in research and teaching, in particular through joint publications, projects and exchange programmes. Special attention was paid to the internationally oriented Startup Camp One Health and the further development of the existing COIL/Virtual Exchange prototype as a driver for high-performance international partnerships.

Global insights, new thinking: exchange with international guests

In her guest lecture, Prof. Dr. Shiran Bord offered HNU students valuable insights into the Israeli healthcare system and made thought-provoking comparisons with the German system.

The Institute for Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Sustainability (IfE) at HNU, the International Startup League (ISUL) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) made this stay possible.
