New website for CoVE Sales: HNU is helping to shape the future of sales training in Europe

27.07.2026, Research:

The European CoVE Sales initiative (European Centre of Excellence for Selling and Development) is now live with its official website. At www.covesales.eu, interested parties will in future be able to find all the information they need about the project, its partners, offerings and results in one central location. For Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU), which is responsible for the project’s activities in Germany in collaboration with its corporate partner Wanzl, the launch marks another important milestone in the Europe-wide Erasmus+ project.

Sales skills for the future

CoVE Sales focuses on the question of how sales professions are evolving in the face of artificial intelligence, digitalisation and changing consumer behaviour. The aim is to bridge the gap between the skills that companies will need in the future and the qualifications currently provided through vocational and academic education. To this end, a Europe-wide skills ecosystem is being established that will permanently link educational institutions, research organisations and businesses.

Central point of contact for projects, research and networking

The new website now showcases this work. The ‘Project’ menu item presents the key areas of work. The ‘Laboratories’ section provides information on Learning Factories and AI Sales Innovation Labs, where innovative, AI-supported learning and working environments are being developed. Reports, teaching materials, case studies and other project outcomes will in future be published freely under ‘Resources’. The latest news and events can be found in the ‘News’ section.

HNU brings expertise in the fields of sales and AI

The topics discussed at the partners’ first transnational project meeting in June are also reflected on the platform: the development of a common European competence framework for new sales professions, the promotion of inclusion and gender equality, and the creation of innovative AI-supported learning environments. HNU is contributing its expertise from the Sales and Sustainable Business Institute (SSBI) and, as the German CoVE site, is playing a key role in the transfer of knowledge and innovation.
