The Bootcamp AppInventors is aimed at pupils from the 9th grade upwards who - without any previous knowledge - feel like programming simple apps for smartphones or controlling robots through a course with their own programmes within one week. Participants only need a PC and a smartphone with internet access.
The free Summer School at Neu-Ulm University (HNU) will take place virtually via Zoom from 9 to 13 August 2021. In the AppInventors bootcamp, students learn programming basics using the example of programming smartphone apps and Lego Mindstorms robots with the Scratch programming language. The boot camp will be led by Prof. Dr. Dany Meyer, who is Professor of Software Engineering at the HNU. Last year, she received the "Prize for Outstanding Digital Teaching 2020" from the Friends of HNU.
