InnoSÜD Circles 2022 focus on climate change: How do companies meet the global challenge?

29.04.2022, Transfer:

Scientists from the universities of Biberach and Neu-Ulm have joined forces to bring together and discuss the different perspectives on climate change at the third InnoSÜD Kreis event on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, 4 to 5:30 p.m., online via Zoom.

Is climate change becoming a political pawn? With this provocative question, the InnoSÜD university network is launching a digital event to discuss the global challenge for science and business - and, above all, the question: How do we actually manage it?

The aim is to achieve more corporate and social due diligence through stricter legislation on reporting or supply chains. After all, demands from society and NGOs are playing an increasing role - and the pressure on companies is rising. Thus, according to the organizer, sustainability 2022 moves between actionism, integrated management approaches and the question of compensation. So how can companies deal with the different demands when it comes to climate change?

In order to find answers to this question and to stimulate cross-industry and cross-disciplinary exchange, scientists from the universities of Biberach and Neu-Ulm have joined forces: from biotechnology to sustainability to digitalization, augmented or virtual reality, and new work, they want to bring together and discuss the different perspectives in the third event of the InnoSÜD circles on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, 4 to 5:30 p.m., online via Zoom.

The program includes two impulses - ideas for CO2 reduction and a view from the field - as well as a panel discussion in which the audience:inside can also participate. The panel will include Heinz Tengler (Senior Vice President Strategic Projects Mobility Voith Turbo, Senioren der Wirtschaft) and Henryk Badack (Senior Vice President Techn. Services & Internal Project Management Vetter Pharma-Fertigung) as representatives of industry, Klaus Eder, Managing Director of SWU Stadtwerke Ulm/Neu-Ulm as well as Stephan Schunkert, Managing Partner KlimAktiv and the director and producer Philipp Gassmann (Managing Director Author green film tools).
