"By sponsoring prizes and scholarships, you support individual students financially, and as mentors you often accompany our students very intensively and personally on their way."

Outstanding thesis at Husqvarna receives award

Günter Augustin from the Sponsors' Association of Neu-Ulm University presented the Neu-Ulm University Award to Maximilian Metzler for his outstanding final thesis on "Strategic capacity analysis of a distribution center" at the Husqvarna Group. For his thesis, Metzler created a comprehensive data model in the Power BI (Business Intelligence) software, which enabled the company to make statements regarding the capacity for one of the Husqvarna Group's distribution centers. Alumnus Metzler commented: "I am very happy about this award. At the same time, I would like to thank my supervisor at Husqvarna Group, Mr. Pelzer, and my supervisor, Mr. Plum, who made it possible for me to write my thesis on such an exciting topic. A special thanks goes to Professor Gutierrez, who supervised my thesis and was always there to support me with any questions."

For the ceremonial presentation of certificates, students split up by faculty and took their traditional graduation photo with hat toss. In addition to the buffet, the evening's musical entertainment was a real highlight, with Jo! Loop played for the champagne and after dinner the Roadstring Army performed. Their performance was so well received by the audience that people danced and sang along and even demanded several encores.
