TTZ Günzburg: New name and clear focus on artificial intelligence

13.02.2023, Transfer:

The Technology Transfer Center operated by Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) in Günzburg since 2020 will be called "Technology Transfer Center for Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence" in the future following a decision by the University Management. This adjustment of the focus and the company name sharpens the profile of the TTZ and clearly presents its research focus to the outside world.

Technology transfer centers play an important role in Bavaria's state research, development and innovation strategy. Affiliated with universities of applied sciences, they are intended to support regional companies as research and development partners.

Currently, a contract research project in the field of data analytics has been completed with a company at the TTZ; a research cooperation is in progress. In addition, funding applications were prepared and submitted to several companies in state and federal funding programs. Numerous other activities are intended to increase the transfer of knowledge from and to companies. These include networking events, expert lectures, workshops, one-on-one meetings and consultations. In the area of research, a doctoral project has been launched; others are in preparation. The research results are presented at international conferences and published in renowned journals (for more information, visit www.hnu.de/ttzguenzburg).

The growing team at the Günzburg site currently consists of three scientific staff, one research professor and three administrative staff. The duration of the project has been extended until the end of 2025.
