Telemedical stroke networks are available throughout Germany to provide stroke patients with fast and targeted care and to prevent or limit possible consequential damage. Hospitals without their own neurology department are particularly reliant on the help of these neurovascular centers: This allows them to call on the expertise of stroke experts around the clock in acute cases. The network is supported by a multi-professional team of neurologists, nurses and therapists.
This is where the two doctoral students' project comes in: The primary goal is to increase nursing and therapeutic expertise in the cooperation clinics of a stroke network and in this way help to improve the quality of care for those affected. To this end, Anna Riesberg and Nadine Seifert will first survey the learning needs and requirements of nurses and therapists for a digital training program. Based on these results, they then develop and evaluate an interactive digital training course.
The doctoral projects are supervised by Prof. Dr. Jan Rémi, PD Dr. Florian Schöberl and Prof. Dr. Lars Kellert (Neurological Clinic and Polyclinic, LMU Klinikum, Campus Großhadern) and Prof. Dr. Walter Swoboda (HNU).
