Network meeting at HNU's Founders Space strengthens regional community of female entrepreneurs

03.03.2026, Transfer:

On February 25, 2026, the Founders Space at Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) became a sounding board for female founders: The networking event “Female Founders Get-together” brought together female founders and those interested in founding a company from the Ulm/Neu-Ulm region and enabled a structured exchange of experiences and ideas.

In addition to active female founders and those interested in starting a business, applicants to the EXIST-Women support program, current scholarship holders, and alumnae also took part in the event. The group of participants was complemented by experienced mentors who support female founders in their projects. Carina Volk-Schor and Janine Anderson moderated the event.

In terms of content, the event offered a wide range of ideas on key topics relating to everyday start-up life:

Support services and regional networks: Ulrike Hudelmaier (TFU GmbH) presented programs such as the “creative Energy” accelerator.

Financing and economic conditions: Christoph Schweizer (Ulm Chapter) explained start-up financing options, especially for female founders.

Practical examples: Lucy Probst, founder of amvi and scholarship holder of the EXIST Women Program 2025, reported on her experiences founding a start-up in Mexico.

Another focus was on discussing practical challenges faced by female founders. In workshops and moderated discussion rounds, participants were able to share their experiences, ask questions, and explore new opportunities for collaboration. Pizza and snacks, sponsored by TFU GmbH, helped to foster an open atmosphere for discussion.

The networking meeting thus contributed to strengthening the regional female founder community and supporting female founders and women interested in starting a business in developing practical solutions and implementing their projects.
