The research focus on artificial intelligence is concentrated at the Technology Transfer Center Günzburg (TTZ Günzburg). In an era of exponential data growth, the TTZ Günzburg has specialized in Data & Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a leading institute at HNU. Our focus is on processing and analyzing all data modalities from structured to highly complex unstructured data, including images, videos, audio and text.

Our research activities cover a broad spectrum and include the areas of supervised and unsupervised machine learning as well as reinforcement learning. The focus here is on transformer architecture in the field of meaningful and meaningful text design from keywords, reinforcement learning - applied in industrial robotics - and computer vision in the field of facial analysis. Of particular note is our research in Neuro-Symbolic AI, an emerging field of research that combines traditional algorithms (Symbolic AI) with the latest breakthroughs in Deep Learning (Sub-Symbolic AI). In this field, we combine the strengths of both approaches to develop innovative solutions for cutting-edge research questions.

Our primary goal is to actively shape AI research and transfer its application into practice in order to help companies and society overcome complex challenges. To this end, we maintain close cooperation with regional and international partners from science and practice. Together, we research and develop innovative solutions for various application areas and industries.
