30.06.2022, Transfer:

On Thursday, June 23, 2022, the StartupSÜD event THE TRIANGLE took place at Neu-Ulm University for the fourth time. Under the motto "Let's talk about staff, baby!", startups from the region and beyond had the opportunity to present their innovative startup ideas and respond to audience questions.

The aim of the event was to promote the exchange between medium-sized companies, fresh start-ups and established start-ups and at the same time to introduce students to the topic of founding in a relaxed and interactive way. More than 50 interested participants were guests at the event in the HNU Founders Space.

The two research assistants Carina Volk and Linda Mühlbach jointly guided through the evening and moderated the event and panel discussion.

Prof. Dr. Thomas Bayer, project manager StartupSÜD, opened the event with an insight into the joint project StartupSÜD in general and the format THE TRIANGLE in particular. Dr. Florian Neymeyer, Head of HR, IT & Organization at Uzin Utz, led over to the first pitch presentation with words about the company and the UZIN UTZ-Triangle Newcomer Award.

The young startup "SubIT" made the beginning. Julian Buntz and his team develop a cloud-based HR platform for personnel management and tenders, this offers companies ways to reduce staff shortages, improve transparency, reduce waiting times and create efficient, digital end-to-end processes.

Oliver Munz of "Rhetorican®" presented next.  His startup specializes in personal development and offers application, job, and rhetoric coaching as well as employee and company coaching, both online and offline.

Rebecca Heinzelmann from karriereheld kicked off the third pitch of the evening.

The team of karriereheld offers a simple solution for recruiting on team level. They take into account the required skills, corporate cultural aspects and most importantly the fit between candidates and the already existing team to match suitable applicants at the push of a button. Without the need for expensive job advertisements and with the help of artificial intelligence, companies can fill their vacancies in this way in an accurate and sustainable manner.

Last to pitch was Aurelia Engelsberger and her team from "OMIND platform". OMIND platform is a human-centered open innovation platform that playfully builds an open attitude of employees towards knowledge sharing and establishes a long-term OPEN INNOVATION MINDSET within the company as well as with external partners.

As special guest for the evening, Dr. Florian Neymeyer presented the importance HR has in his company and shared his experiences regarding the creation of the pilot project "FumbleNight". With the words "What do football and error culture have in common?", he started his pitch. This was about the implementation of a positive error culture and the pilot project for this, which HNU students developed for Uzin Utz: a concept for the culture of trust and innovation.

Afterwards, the audience had the opportunity to cast their votes in the live voting via app once for the Triangle Newcomer Award in the category Human Resources and once for the favorite pitch.

During the exciting evaluation, the participating startup and company representatives discussed new trends and innovations in the HR industry in a roundtable discussion on the topic "Old wine in a new bottle". Digital recruiting and tools, new work and employee motivation were just a few of the topics addressed. The exchange also gave the audience the opportunity to get involved themselves and ask questions.

At the end of the evening, the prizes were awarded. The UZIN UTZ Triangle Newcomer Prize worth 500 € was won by "karriereheld" among the young startups. The Triangle favorite of the evening was "SubIT" with their idea for a marketplace for personnel leasing. The exciting evening was rounded off in the HNU Founders Space with a relaxed get-together with pizza and cool drinks.

"The Triangle with its focus on HR was of course thematically perfect for us! it was a lot of fun to network with other startups from the industry and talk to companies in a very relaxed and casual setting. the fact that we won the Triangle Newcomer Award of course crowned the evening for us!", Rebecca Heinzelmann from karriereheld.
