First, Anita Botzenhardt, the partner for the Healthcare and Pharma division in Southern Germany, presented the various areas of activity of an auditing company. The students gained an insight into the profession and the varied range of activities of an auditor, but also into the professions of management consultant and tax advisor. They were introduced to the diverse clientele from the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors and the questions they pose to PwC. The students then had the opportunity to find out about the various career paths and job prospects in an international company. In order to experience the practical side of things, the students were allowed to look behind what were actually closed doors in small groups and tour the modern offices, the Skygarden and the many team areas in the Munich office.
Questions about starting a career
During the subsequent joint lunch, the supervising lecturer Manja Rausendorf-Marzina happened to meet a former student of the auditing specialization who, after completing his master's degree, has now found the right career entry for him in the advisory field. He spontaneously presented his career since completing his studies at HNU and the students once again had the opportunity to get rid of all their questions about starting a career.
After the lunch break, it was the students' turn. They had the task of working on a practical case study. In two groups, each moderated by a senior consultant, they worked on a case study on the annual audit of hospitals and then presented their results. The students showed what they had learned at HNU and that they were ready for the job.
