Firstly, the students were given an insight into the digital world of the hospital: How does IT work in a hospital? What is the telematics infrastructure? They then moved on to the senior citizens' centre, where the students got to know the digital assistants that are in use there. They then visited the operating theatre. Here, the students discussed the opportunities and risks of digitalisation in the sensitive high-care sector with the specialists.
The cosy get-together that followed provided an opportunity to expand their personal network and exchange experiences.
"Such practical insights are of great value to our students," emphasised Prof. Dr Manja Rausendorf-Marzina. “They make it possible to combine theoretical knowledge with real challenges and solutions in the healthcare sector.”
