Together with Managing Director Armin Zimmer and Jessica Lohrmann, Manager of Global Branches and an HNU alumna herself, Prof. Dr. Julia Kormann and Ivanka Burger explored the requirements that companies and universities have for a successful collaboration, how this can be strategically developed further, and where concrete opportunities lie for HNU students.
Particular emphasis was placed on expanding joint activities in fields relevant to the future. Plans call for increased cooperation, particularly in the areas of artificial intelligence, supply chain management, gaming, and cybersecurity. The goal is to strengthen knowledge transfer, drive innovation, and promote sustainable regional development.
A seminar in supply chain management, which is being offered for the first time in collaboration with Zimmer MedizinSysteme GmbH this summer semester, already demonstrates what this enhanced collaboration might look like in practice. Students gain practical insights and work directly on real-world problems from a business context.
Zimmer MedizinSysteme GmbH has been a strategic partner of HNU since December 2025. For several years now, the company has been a sponsor of the Germany Scholarship and offers HNU students internships as well as part-time student jobs.
