IDT Open Lab
The IDT Open Lab is a series of events organized by the Institute for Digital Transformation (IDT) at the Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences. With the IDT Open Lab, we enable experts from business and academia to exchange ideas on current topics in the context of digital transformation.
Innovation Award Transfer
Under the motto “Society meets Science,” the universities of Neu-Ulm, Augsburg, and Kempten award the Bavarian-Swabian Innovation Transfer Prize to honor outstanding application- and society-oriented projects. The prizes, each endowed with €5,000, are awarded for collaborations between non-academic partners and the universities.
3D Printing Challenge
The 3D Printing Challenge is aimed at all 3D printing enthusiasts with exciting ideas for 3D printing. Through the competition, HNU actively promotes creative and innovative 3D printing projects. The goals of the challenge are knowledge transfer, the promotion of future technology, the support of entrepreneurial spirit, and the networking of business, science, and society.
ScrumTisch
The ScrumTisch is a regular meetup format to get to know the community personally and to share experiences over a beer or wine. Everyone is welcome, whether they are already working agile in their company, planning to do so, or are simply curious.
The Triangle
The interactive startup event THE TRIANGLE informs students, the general public, and companies in the Ulm/Neu-Ulm region about various topics related to entrepreneurship, founding, and startup culture. Developed as part of the StartupSÜD initiative, the event aims to create a dialogue between startups, former startups, and medium-sized businesses.

The alumni event helloagain@HNU brings together graduates and professors of HNU. In a cozy atmosphere, alumni meet old friends, exchange ideas with their former professors, and make new contacts. Additionally, they learn about what has happened at HNU since their graduation and gain insights into HNU’s alumni activities.
HNU Design Talks
The HNU Design Talks are aimed at all creative minds and design strategists in and around Ulm. In a relaxed atmosphere in the Innovation Space at HNU, renowned experts delve into important questions on the topics of design, innovation, and user experience, and warmly invite their audience to join them in exploring these subjects.
Networking Event - Future Through Innovation
The TTZ Günzburg, TTZ Leipheim, and Areal Digital bring together actors from research and practice to shed light on current industry challenges in the areas of data analytics and artificial intelligence, connected sustainable production and logistics, as well as startup support. They aim to present and discuss innovative solutions.
