Although it may not seem like it, learning a new language can help keep the brain healthy and active and reduce stress levels. A similar phenomenon can be brought about, for example, by playing a sport or practising yoga. It is not only challenging, but also a lot of fun and keeps our brain young. Similar to reading or playing sports, learning a new language creates new branches in the brain. This is also said to contribute to a growth in our performance and have a positive influence on our memory as well as our creativity.
