Guest lecture on healthcare in Israel: insights and perspectives

28.10.2024, Study:

Two guest lectures by Prof Dr Boaz Hovav from Max Stern Yezreel Valley College, Israel, took place at the Faculty of Health Management at Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) in mid-October 2024 under the motto "Open Perspective". The lectures were organised by HNU Professor Dr Silvia Straub, Professor Dr Jens Pätzmann and Professor Dr Daniel Schallmo.

A total of 36 students from the Business Administration in Healthcare, Digital Medicine and Nursing Management and Information Management in Healthcare degree programmes took part in the presentations. They gained valuable insights into the Israeli healthcare system and learnt about its differences to the healthcare systems in Germany and other OECD countries.

This opportunity enabled the students to expand their knowledge of international healthcare systems and gain new perspectives. Prof. Dr Silvia Straub emphasised the importance of such events: "The exchange with international experts such as Prof. Dr Hovav offers our students great added value. It not only expands their specialised knowledge, but also promotes an understanding of global health issues and the diversity of health systems."

The guest lectures were funded and made possible by the ISUL "International Startup League" project of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
