After a welcome address by HNU President Prof. Dr Uta M. Feser and the Dean of the Faculty of Health Management, Prof. Dr Sylvia Schafmeister, Dr Günter Danner addressed the topic of social insurance and its challenges and prospects in an environment that is currently undergoing considerable change.
Important topic with a sobering conclusion
In recent months, the debate on social insurance has become increasingly important, particularly in view of the historically high contribution rates in statutory health insurance and the upcoming reform of long-term care insurance. The preliminary conclusion was thought-provoking: turning points are currently taking place in parallel at many levels: in foreign and security policy, in economic policy and in technological development. It remains to be seen what significance the reform of social security systems will have for the next government.
The event ended with a visit to a restaurant.
