Exchange between shade and sun
Meetings, discussions and play activities took place outdoors in midsummer temperatures. Whether in the shade or in the sun, indoors or outdoors - the focus was on dialogue.
Creative encounters - playfully out of the comfort zone
Whether it was bubble bingo, the question game "Out of the Question", handicrafts, painting or Viking chess: the stations invited participants to engage with others in a playful way, try out new things and engage in dialogue with people they had never met before - sometimes loud and lively, sometimes quiet and creative. This led to encounters that might never have happened in everyday life. "Especially today, it is more important than ever to facilitate encounters that don't just take place within your own bubble or are pre-selected by algorithms," said the HNU Founders Space organisation team.
Inspiring partners
Stimuli for dialogue, creativity and new perspectives also came from the event's partners: the International Salon, the city project "Was geht in Ulm", Markus Hummel (letterbube) and Raha Bamdadi from Studio For the Love Of. Together, they ensured enriching encounters and new impulses on topics such as diversity, city life, creativity and mindfulness.
A special highlight were the goodie bags designed exclusively by letterbube Markus Hummel, which were sponsored by Toowoxx and rounded off the event.
Pleasure and atmosphere
Culinary highlights were provided by the popular Smash Burger food truck, accompanied by the cocktail bar from Captain's Cocktails.
Space for diversity and international encounters
"Burst Your Bubble" has long been more than just an event - it is an impulse for an open, diverse society. From the very beginning, the format has brought together people from very different walks of life - especially the international community: students, newcomers and expats meet at eye level, network and build bridges across linguistic and cultural boundaries.
