City Cycling 2025: Team HNU takes 10th place in Neu-Ulm

14.08.2025, University News:

25 cyclists, 4,168 kilometers traveled, and 683.5 kilograms of CO2 saved: these were the results achieved by Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) through its participation in this year's “City Cycling” event in Neu-Ulm. The HNU winner covered a total of 747 kilometers.

The City Cycling campaign is a nationwide campaign to promote cycling, in which participants cover as many kilometers as possible by bike within a set period of time. Whether commuting to work every day or just riding on weekends, the HNU team made an important contribution to climate protection with every kilometer they rode and set an example for sustainable mobility and environmental awareness.

Prize presentation to the most active individual cyclist

With a total of 747 kilometers cycled, Hans Müller, a building services engineer, was honored as the most active individual cyclist on the HNU team. Congratulations! Chancellor Markus Dingel presented him with the prize, a trophy, and a toolbox. The trophy was designed and manufactured in the university's Innovation Space.

Many thanks to all participants for their commitment!
