For the tenth time, individuals and organizations were honored for innovative marketing ideas. For the first time, prizes were awarded in four categories: Grand Prize, Special Award, Marketing Personality, and Social Media. The award ceremony took place at the Sparkasse Ulm bank.
In the “Special Award” category, which recognizes creative and time-limited achievements such as campaigns, events, or projects, Fabian Girschick won with three initiatives. The goal of all projects is to make the career path of a professorship visible, attractive, and tangible.
Three projects, one goal – making a professorship tangible
- Podcast “EIN AUF PROF” In 18 episodes to date, host Maximilian Pichlmeier talks to professors and university staff about appointment processes, career paths, and personal experiences. The podcast offers practical guidance and provides authentic insights into the professorship.
- Virtual 3D environment “Erlebniswelt Professur” (Experience the world of professorship)
The interactive platform allows users to enter different rooms with an avatar and learn about topics such as appointment procedures or faculty profiles in a playful way. The application promotes experience-oriented learning and presents HNU as a modern employer. - Website “l(i)ebenswerte Region” (Liveable Region)
The platform presents the Neu-Ulm region as an attractive place to live. It offers information on work, leisure, education, and family services and shows how career prospects can be combined with a high quality of life.
Jury's assessment
In his laudatory speech, Oliver Fischer, jury member and representative of ATTACKE Werbeagentur GmbH, emphasized the innovative power of the InnoPROF campaign. With InnoPROF, HNU is setting new standards in university marketing. The campaign is well thought out across different media and shows that a professorship represents a “career upgrade with meaning, freedom, and impact.” He particularly highlighted the authentic implementation with real stories and people.
Voice of the award winner
Fabian Girschick was delighted with the award: “The award means a lot to me. Especially since I am ‘only’ 26 years old, I would like to show young people in particular that you can achieve a lot even at the beginning of your professional career.” Girschick is currently working on further projects. The third season of the podcast “EIN AUF PROF” is in preparation, and further initiatives are planned. He thanked his team and the project partners PODCAST.EINS, TriCAT, and brot & salz for their support: “Without the support of my colleagues from the InnoPROF team and the project management of Prof. Dr. Julia Kormann, this success would not have been possible.”
A driving force for the region
The award also highlights the role of Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences as a driving force for innovative communication formats. The projects show how modern university marketing can help attract skilled workers in science and teaching while also boosting the region's appeal.
