With almost 900 exhibitors from nearly 30 countries and more than 470 speakers, this year's DMEA offered 20,500 visitors a wide range of insights into current developments in digital healthcare. Jennifer Kircher, research assistant at the DigiHealth Institute at Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU), and Alexander Eble, software engineer at artiso solutions GmbH, used the three-day trade fair to make stand-by.care visible as a forward-looking project and to gather targeted impetus for its further development.
Professional exchange and practical impetus for stand-by.care
The team attended several keynotes and panel discussions on current trends and challenges in digital healthcare in Germany, for example in the area of digital patient empowerment. Talks with consulting firms were also on the agenda in order to further optimize user-specific UX/UI aspects. Feedback from health insurance companies and trade visitors provided further valuable insights into the practicality of the system. The exchange with other founders of digital health applications (DiGAs) was also informative, particularly with regard to regulatory and design requirements.
The visit to the trade fair offered the project team a platform to provide new impetus, integrate feedback from the field and actively shape the digital care of the future together with partners.
