Prof. Basch presents poster at conference in Prague

Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) was represented with a poster presentation at the conference of the European Association for Work and Organizational Psychology (EAWOP), which took place in Prague from 21 to 24 May. Prof. Dr. Johannes Basch presented his research on the possible effects of using gender-appropriate language in job interviews.

Founded in 1991, EAWOP is the leading European professional organization in the field of work and organizational psychology. It organizes an international congress every two years and publishes the renowned European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology (EJWOP). Under its umbrella, researchers, practitioners and students can network and exchange expertise in areas such as leadership, motivation, personnel development and organizational culture.

Prof. Dr. Johannes Basch has been conducting research in the field of work and organizational psychology for several years, in particular on personnel selection. His contribution to the EAWOP conference, which is based on three student bachelor theses from the Business Psychology course, was dedicated to possible differences in the performance of applicants when using different forms of gender-appropriate language.
