3. Purpose
The personal data collected by Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences via the registration form on its website (first name, surname, email address, degree programme, final semester) is collected and processed for the alumni mailing list so that you can receive information about events and news from the university.
4. Legal basis
The legal basis for processing the personal data provided for the above-mentioned purposes is Article 6(1)(e) of the GDPR in conjunction with Article 4 of the Bavarian Data Protection Act (BayDSG) and Article 2(3), third sentence, of the Bavarian Higher Education Act (BayHIG), and, where applicable, Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR in cases where consent is given.
5. Retention period
We will only retain your data until the purpose for which it was collected no longer applies, provided that there are no statutory retention periods, obligations to provide evidence or limitation periods that would allow for the enforcement of resulting claims, which would prevent its deletion (in which case the processing of the data will be restricted in accordance with Article 18 of the GDPR), or, in cases where consent has been given, until such consent is withdrawn.
6. Disclosure to third parties
Under no circumstances will your data be passed on to third parties.
7. Data security
To protect the personal data we hold against accidental or deliberate tampering, loss, destruction or unauthorised access, we employ state-of-the-art technical and organisational security measures, which are continuously improved.
The data collected in the registration form is transmitted in encrypted form (SSL).
8. Your rights
- You have the right to request information from Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences regarding the personal data it holds about you and/or to have any incorrect data corrected. To do so, please contact the University, as the data controller, or the Data Protection Officer.
- You also have the right to erasure, the right to restrict processing, or the right to object to processing.
- Furthermore, if you have given your consent to the processing of your data, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time, without this affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of your consent prior to its withdrawal.
