Ilka Matzeit and Daniel Walter are working on the optimisation of bioprocesses as part of their Master's theses. Their aim is to automate the evaluation of signal data in drug development and to maximise production yield, efficiency and quality through the use of modern technologies and methods.
Prof Dr Stefan Fausser visited them at the Roche plant in Penzberg and gained a comprehensive insight into the students' current projects. In addition to a kick-off on the Master's thesis topics, the programme also included laboratory tours, which focused on the practical aspects of research.
Practical research
HNU attaches great importance to practice-orientated research and actively promotes cooperation with leading industrial partners. Through projects such as this one, students are given the opportunity to work on real challenges and contribute to the further development of future-oriented technologies.
