Focus on Finland: Digitalisation meets healthcare
Finland is considered one of the most digitally advanced healthcare systems in Europe. This is precisely where the students came in: working in interdisciplinary teams, they analysed existing structures, identified gaps in care and developed concrete smart solution concepts – from digital assistance systems and innovative care models to patient-centred service ideas.
Practical project work
The students conducted interviews with experts from the Finnish healthcare sector, evaluated international best practices and developed prototype solutions based on their findings. The aim was to design approaches that are both technologically feasible and provide tangible relief for patients and service providers.
International cooperation as a field of learning
The project not only offered technical insights, but also valuable intercultural experiences. Cooperation with Finnish institutions and universities enabled students to learn about different perspectives on healthcare and to develop forward-looking ideas together.
