Providing impetus for international management: Visiting professor from Thailand at HNU

Management insights from the other side of the world: Professor Dr. Wasan Sakulkijkarn from the partner university Srinakharinwirot University in Bangkok imparted cultural aspects of corporate management to students at Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) at the end of March. In addition to insights into international management, he also referred to current political developments.

Practical examples of challenges in the global economy

Using the example of the latest developments in the US government and their potential impact on global economic activities, the guest professor introduced students on the Bachelor's degree course in Business Studies to the economic challenges that companies around the world are currently facing.

Ideas for promoting intercultural skills

Professor Dr Wasan Sakulkijkarn held a workshop on “Cultural Aspects of Entrepreneurship” with Master's students on the “Digital Transformation and Global Entrepreneurship” and “International Entrepreneurship, Digitalization and Sustainability” courses. The students worked in groups to develop innovative concepts for promoting intercultural skills in small and medium-sized enterprises.

The visiting professor was impressed by the response from the HNU students: “It was particularly pleasing to see how motivated and interested the students were in the topics. I am very much looking forward to the further development of our mutual cooperation!”
