Startup Camp One Health 2025 - international student teams develop innovations for the healthcare industry

Workshops, dialogue and intercultural experiences: At the intensive course "Startup Camp One Health (SUCOH)" at Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU), students and lecturers from six different nations with different backgrounds met for the second time at HNU from 5 to 9 May under the direction of Prof. Dr Silvia Straub. They worked together in interactive teams to develop creative ideas around the topics of start-ups, digital solutions and One Health, and took part in keynote speeches and a varied cultural programme. SUCOH is closely linked to the "Smart Solutions" event, an HNU project in cooperation with Kajaani University of Applied Sciences, Finland, under the direction of Prof Dr Alexander Würfel.

Course contents

As part of the course, the participants dealt intensively with the challenges and opportunities of medical innovations. Highlights of the course were the development, evaluation and presentation of ideas, the implementation of innovations in sustainable business models, the design of One Health approaches as the key to the future and the expansion of their own skills and perspectives during their studies.

In addition to the project work and the workshops in the Innovation Space, there were also visits to the DocLab and the Founders Space. At the latter, students were able to get in touch with the founders of the HNU CampusReady team.
