The highlight of the evening: the interactive, screen-free learning companion Ohrlaf by founder Kilian Wimmer from Kempten was awarded the EdTech Audience Award. Ohrlaf promotes the creativity of children of nursery age through audio content and enables a learning experience without visual overstimulation. Thanks to the digital interface, the system can be expanded indefinitely - in future even by the users themselves. Kilian Wimmer not only impressed with his idea, but also with his openness: in his pitch, he spoke about the opportunities and challenges of developing physical products - and thus offered valuable insights for other founders.
In addition to Ohrlaf, three other start-ups presented themselves on stage:
- Campus Ready - an AI-supported platform with the new “Slide Coach” feature that helps students with their learning. The founding team themselves study at HNU.
- Klang² from Freiburg - an acoustic memory game that has already made a name for itself thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign and an appearance on the TV show Die Höhle der Löwen.
- supertut - a digital learning platform for mathematics and computer science that supports universities in the playful preparation of learning content.
“The Triangle” is a pitch event format organized by the HNU Founders Space at Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences in cooperation with StartupSÜD. It regularly focuses on forward-looking industries and offers start-ups a stage to present their ideas to a broad audience. In addition to pitch events, the Founders Space offers coaching, support measures and a co-working area with a lively community for founders.
