Exclusive insights
The Managing Director of ADAC Telenotarzt gGmbH, Andreas Estermeier, first gave the students an exciting insight into the rescue service and air rescue before presenting the concept and technical requirements for the deployment of the tele-emergency doctor. The students were impressed not only by the spatial flexibility of the emergency doctor, but also by the wide range of possible applications in both primary and secondary operations or in supervision. They were particularly interested in the technical requirements for the deployment of the tele-emergency doctor and the qualifications of the professional groups involved.
Time for questions
At the end of the event, interested students were able to visit the ADAC air rescue centre at Oberer Eselsberg in Ulm. Andreas Estermeier and the ADAC Air Rescue team also took plenty of time to answer the students' questions.
Tasks of a tele-emergency doctor
A tele-EMS doctor is in direct contact with the rescue service personnel on site during an operation - regardless of where they are. With the help of modern audiovisual technology, they are actively involved in medical care. Important vital data such as ECG values or blood pressure measurements are also transmitted to their workstation in real time.
