Master Mastered: HNU alumni provide students with insights into successful master's theses

27.10.2025, Study:

Best practices for your thesis: Recently, four alumni from the Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics (AIDA), Digital Innovation Management (DIM), and Strategic Information Management (SIM) programs at Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) provided insights into their master's theses to around 40 students enrolled in these programs.

Prof. Dr. Andy Weeger organized the “Master Mastered” format at the request of master's students who wanted examples of successful theses.

The four invited alumni, Deinera Jechle, Jonas Regending, Cedric Bretzinger, and Marcel Dreher, presented their master's projects in the style of a defense in the HNU's Innovation Space and provided insights into their choice of topics, methodological approach, and key findings. The participating students showed great interest in the work presented and took the opportunity to ask questions and talk to the alumni about their experiences in their master's studies and career entry.

Prof. Dr. Andy Weeger sums up: “The format helps our master's students to structure their thesis projects in a more targeted manner and to engage with relevant reseach topics in the field of Information Systems. The exchange with successful alumni provides valuable inspiration. The positive response shows that we have created real added value with ‘Master Mastered’.”
