Vita

  • Prof Dr Kracklauer joined the international marketing and sales management department of consumer goods manufacturer Procter & Gamble after 10 years as an officer in the German Armed Forces and a part-time doctorate. There he held various management positions in the USA and Germany; at Harvard Business School he completed the International Visiting Scholar Programme at the Faculty of General Management, where he headed a research group on customer relationship management.
  • In 2002, Prof. Dr Kracklauer moved to Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences and headed the Competence Centre for Growth & Sales Strategies as Professor of Marketing and Sales. In 2021, he was appointed Research Professor of Sales Management and Sales Intelligence at HNU, and in 2023 he was awarded the right to award doctorates as a research-strong professor.
  • Since April 2025, he has headed the Sales and Sustainable Business Institute (SSBI) - a new research institute founded that year that is dedicated to the key future topics of sales, digital transformation and sustainable business models. Kracklauer's work in the field of customer relationship management and digital sales innovation has earned him widespread recognition. ScholarGPS (2025) lists him among the top 1% of over 7,159 academics in the field of ‘Customer Relationship Management’. For an AI-controlled VR sales training programme developed together with the Ulm-based technology company Tricat, he and his university team were awarded the Science Prize of the German Institute for Virtual Reality, the most important national prize in the field of VR / AR / XR for research projects.
