The alumni were welcomed by Prof. Dr. Jens Kolb, Vice President for Transfer and Continuing Education; Ivanka Burger, Head of Project Development, Transfer and Cooperation; and Stephanie Bühren, Operations Manager of the Center for Continuing Education. The workshop was led by Prof. Dr. Barbara Brandstetter, Professor of Information Management and Corporate Communications with a focus on Crossmedia.
Theory meets practice: Experiencing AI tools live
The workshop alternated between expert input and interactive practice sessions: Participants first gained insights into current research findings on the acceptance of AI-generated content before testing various applications such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, and DALL·E themselves. The goal was to create target group-oriented content effectively and practically using artificial intelligence.
A special highlight was the hands-on session in HNU’s television studio, where participants produced their own video segments and podcast recordings using a teleprompter and greenscreen – offering a behind-the-scenes look into crossmedia content production with modern technologies.
Exchange in the anniversary year
To conclude, all participants were invited to a joint dinner and get-together in the outdoor area of the HNU Founders Space, where they could continue their exchanges in a relaxed atmosphere.
With this format, Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences strengthens knowledge transfer between science and practice, as well as its vibrant connection with alumni. In the anniversary year of the Center for Continuing Education, HNU once again underscores its commitment to shaping innovative continuing education and lifelong learning.
