DAAD Prize
Once a year, the International Office at the HNU awards the German Academic Exchange Service(DAAD) prize to outstanding international students. The DAAD prize, worth 1,000 euros, honors both outstanding academic achievements and remarkable social and societal commitment. The prize is intended to contribute to giving international students a face at German universities (more information about the DAAD prize (opens in a new window)).
Award winner 2025

Master's student Allanis Bahr Menuci is this year's recipient of the prestigious German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) award for her outstanding academic achievements and intercultural engagement. The DAAD Award 2025 is presented by Prof. Dr. Elmar Steurer, Representative for Internationalisation, during the International Fair at the HNU.

Prof. Dr. Elmar Steurer, Representative for Internationalisation, presented Master's student Ms Hang Nguyen with the prestigious German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) prize for her outstanding academic achievements and intercultural commitment. The award ceremony 2024 took place as part of the International Fair at the HNU.

Prof. Dr. Elmar Steurer, Vice President for Research and Internationalisation, presented the prestigious prize of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to Sadika Madzharova for her outstanding academic achievements and commitment. The award ceremony 2023 took place as part of the International Fair at the HNU.

Prof. Dr. Julia Kormann, Vice President for Teaching and Learning, and Prof. Dr. Elmar Steurer, Vice President for Internationalisation, presented Jiao Hu with the award of the German Academic Exchange Service. Due to the Corona pandemic, the award ceremony 2021 took place virtually.

The DAAD prize was presented by Prof. Dr. Thomas Bayer, until 2020 Vice President for Internationalisation. Due to the Corona Pandemic, the award ceremony 2020 took place in a small setting at the HNU.
