New issue of the student magazine breitseite celebrates its launch

30.03.2026, Study:

When ideas make waves and creativity meets team spirit: After a semester of conceptualization, design, and production, IMUK students from the University of Applied Sciences Neu-Ulm (HNU) celebrated the launch of the new *breitseite* on March 24 at the Innovation Space. Under the theme “artificial,” the 17th issue explores how life, learning, and communication are changing amid the tension between artificial and human intelligence.

As always, *Die Breitseite* was produced over the course of a semester as part of the “Communications Project” module, led by Prof. Andrea Kimpflinger and designer Sabine Geller. The fifth-semester students in the Information Management and Corporate Communication (IMUK) program had a lot on their plates: from the initial ideas to their implementation in print and digital formats. The final product—a 110-page magazine—showcases what the team has put together.

During the launch event, copies of the freshly printed *breitseite* were distributed to participating students and advertisers. Over snacks and drinks, the participants presented and discussed their work, reflected on the creative process, and expressed their pride in what they had achieved together. The breitseite team also thanked lecturers Kimpflinger and Geller, who served as coaches and provided guidance and support throughout the project.

About the new issue of breitseite

In the articles of this new issue, students engage critically and creatively with artificial intelligence: from everyday applications of generative AI to questions of authenticity and manipulation of digital content, and on to future scenarios for higher education, the workplace, and society. These thematic focuses are complemented by articles on ethical aspects, legal gray areas, and personal accounts of the authors’ own experiments with AI tools.

The current issue of *Breitseite* is available in print at HNU; the digital version is available online at www.breitseite.net.
