The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), a subsidiary of the American Nurses Association, is a global leader in the certification and accreditation of nurses and healthcare organizations. Through its programs, the ANCC promotes nursing quality, patient safety, and continuing education standards—topics that were also the focus of the ANCC Magnet Conference. The event, which brought together around 12,000 participants from around the world, highlighted current developments in nursing practice and nursing science, including the protection of nurses from violence, the use of robotics in care, and approaches to promoting self-care and well-being. All contributions were based on evidence-based concepts and showed how scientific findings are consistently translated into best practice models.
By participating in the leading international conference, HNU strengthened its professional network in the field of evidence-based nursing, for which a new degree program will be offered starting in the summer semester of 2026: The advanced bachelor's degree program in Evidence-Based Nursing, offered by the Faculty of Health Management in collaboration with the Center for Continuing Education (ZfW) for professionally qualified nursing staff, focuses on research-based learning and the close transfer of theory into practice.
