Culture project

Be creative, develop soft skills.

As a student at HNU, you can collect ECTS points for your cultural interests in the compulsory elective module ‘Culture Project’. Here, your own cultural commitment (e.g. singing in a choir, attending theatre performances, painting, writing, composing, acting, etc.) is encouraged and reflected upon in the course of two and a half days of seminars.

Why? Because we firmly believe that cultural activities enrich our students' personalities and teach them skills that are important in their professional lives.

What is it all about?

[Translate to English:] Wahlpflichfach "Kultur-Projekt" rocks

During the current semester, the focus is on the participants' cultural activities: first, you define for yourself which type of cultural activity you would like to choose and what skills you expect to gain from it. Once you have successfully completed your own project, the focus is on reflecting on what you have learnt and transferring it to everyday life. You will be guided by Prof Dr Gerdiken (opens in a new window) who has been researching the effects of cultural education for a long time.

In the compulsory elective module ‘Culture Project’, students have already written their own songs, sung in the HNU choir, realised photo projects in all forms, composed, painted using a wide variety of techniques, designed, created fine carpentry work, restored a mobile home, practised hand lettering, designed virtual game landscapes, built architectural models and much more...

You can add to this list with your ideas, there are no limits to your creativity!
