Entrepreneurship in the Digital Era

This unique event offers you the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and skills that will support you on your path to shaping a digital and sustainable future.

The Summer School is aimed at students who want to deepen their knowledge in the areas of entrepreneurship, sustainability and digital transformation. Over a period of one week, we offer you an intensive programme that combines theory and practice.

In international teams, you will work on exciting, practical challenges, develop your own ideas and acquire important future skills - from sustainable business model development to pitching in front of an international jury.

Immerse yourself in the dynamic world of entrepreneurship of the digital era and discover how start-ups can shape the future with innovative technologies.

Special focus

The hackathon with a well-known company is at the centre of the course. Together with your team, you will develop practice-orientated use cases and make valuable contacts for your future career.

Health insurance

Please note that not all insurance policies are authorised for registration at the HNU.

  • For most students from EU countries, the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) is sufficient.
  • Students who do not have an EHIC should take out the private health insurance "MAWISTA Student" with unlimited coverage for the month of their stay at the HNU; Costs: from EUR 25.- / month.

Journey to us

Travelling by train

If you are travelling by train, you should choose Ulm or Neu-Ulm main station (= Hauptbahnhof) as your destination.

From Ulm main station, take bus no. 5 (direction "Wiley" or "Ludwigsfeld") to HNU's bus stop "Hochschule" in Neu-Ulm within 10 minutes. From Neu-Ulm main station, take bus no. 5 (direction "Wiley" or "Ludwigsfeld") to HNU's bus stop "Hochschule" in Neu-Ulm within 5 minutes.

Travelling by plane

The nearest airports to Ulm/Neu-Ulm are Memmingen (1 hour by bus and train), Stuttgart (1 hour by train), Frankfurt (2 hours by train) and Munich (2 hours by train). From these cities you can take the train to Ulm main station (= Hauptbahnhof).

Catering at the HNU

You will receive a Campus Card on your first day at the HNU. You can use this card to make payments in the canteen (= Mensa) and cafeteria as well as at the HNU coffee and snack vending machines. The Campus Card will be collected on the last day.

Important note: If you want to top up your card during your stay, you can do this either with an EC card (no credit card accpeted!) or with cash at the respective machines in the canteen (= Mensa). You will find the nearest ATM for cash withdrawals opposite the HNU at Edisonallee 1.
